Ingenious Student Braves the Snow for a Cuppa!

Ashley Coward, a first year agricultural engineering student at East Devon's Bicton College, came up with an ingenious mode of transport to get him to the Mill for a large cup of hot chocolate.  Using his newly acquired welding skills he crafted a sledge from an old conference chair and scrap metal he found in a skip at the College.  He then sledged the half mile from the College to the Mill, where he was duly rewarded with a slice of cake to go with his hot chocolate by owners Simon and Caroline Spiller.   "We were impressed with Ashley's ingenuity.  He gets the prize for the most unusual mode of transport we've ever seen a customer using to get to the Mill, " said Simon.  "With so many tales of woe due to the treacherous conditions across the UK's road networks this week, it's great to be part of a positive story.  If Ashley's resourcefulness and perseverance are anything to go by, the UK's farm equipment and machinery of the future will be in great hands!" he added.
