Mill's Chef and Baker to Entertain at County Show

Otterton Mill's chef and baker will be joining some of the region's top chefs at the Devon County Show on 20th to 22nd May at Westpoint, when they'll be cooking up lots of tempting and good value dishes using local produce.

The Mill's Executive Chef, Ed Chester, will be back by popular demand in the Show's food and drink marquee on Thursday 20th May. Ed, who lives in Sidmouth, has become a regular presenter at food festivals across the South West. He is always a crowd pleaser, due to his energetic style and depth of knowledge, especially of wild foods.

County Show steward and home economist Celia Hyland said: "We're putting on a varied and interesting programme to showcase local food and the many ways of using it, not just to get best value, but also quick, easy and above all tasty meals. "Good, home cooking promotes healthy eating and encourages valuable family time and it's also a much cheaper way to eat than ready meals, takeaways or eating out."

On Saturday 22nd May, the Mill's Head Baker Roy Hamilton, from Honiton, will be running hands-on bakery demonstrations in the FunForKidz Tent. The baked goodies from these demonstrations will be available for the public to try at the Mill's stall in the FunForKidz Tent throughout the day. Children are entitled to free show entry on Saturday, when accompanied by an adult.   For more information about the Show, click here.
