Announcing Photo Competition Winners

Earlier this year, we invited our customers to submit their photographs of the wildlife and countryside in the Otter Valley.  We received some fantastic entries, and we're now delighted to announce the winner of our competition as Astrida Plenty for her photo of an iconic Otter Valley kingfisher.

Astrida was on holiday in Devon and explains how the photo came about.  "We went to Exmouth for the day on Saturday and met a couple who told us about the beautiful river walk in Otterton where they said we might find kingfishers. We took a detour on our way home and found the beautiful village of Otterton and took an evening walk along the river. I have never seen a kingfisher in my life so was thrilled to get a shot of this chap."

Congratulations to Astrida who wins a lunch for two at the Mill.

We aRobinlso wanted to recognise two runners-up for their photos.

Sheila Underwood took this photo of a robin just after Christmas last year while walking along the Otter. She says that the robin showed no fear at all!

Don Buckland, one of our regular customemeadow flowersrs,  took this photo of meadow flowers in the Otter Valley.

Our summer photo competition is now open for entries.  Please submit your photographs of the wildlife and countryside in the Otter Valley by end September to escape@ottertonmill.com.
