Anyone For (Cream) Tea?

Anyone For (Cream) Tea?

We're delighted to report that our cream teas are selling in record numbers this summer.  It seems our customers can't get enough of them.  We're now producing up to 400 scones a day in our on-site bakery.  And customers are ordering cream teas from 10 o'clock in the morning, as the scones arrive freshly baked from our ovens.

Our bakers make our scones daily by hand to a closely-guarded Mill recipe, with flour that is milled on-site. We serve them with the best clotted cream and jam from artisan food producers, who are located within 30 miles of the Mill.  The combination of freshness and mouth-watering flavour is what makes our cream teas so special.

But don't just take our word for it!   In 2009, our cream teas were placed in the Top 10 in Devon and Cornwall by renowned travel guide publisher DK Travel. This follows similar accolades over the past 10 years from the Guardian, Daily Telegraph and Daily Mail.

"the scones (made with the flour they mill themselves) were light, fluffy and moist, the clotted cream dreamily thick, and the raspberry jam tasted satisfactorily homemade." Edible Devon, 2009

"Amazing! ....lush scones!" Jasmin & Tezane, customers from Switzerland

We serve our cream teas all day from 10am to 5pm. We hope to serve you one very soon!
