A Belated Thank-you to Otterton Church

We'd like to say a huge thank-you to the Reverend Janice Cackett for the last-minute loan of Otterton Church recently for our performance of The Importance of Being Earnest.  This outdoor BBQ and theatre evening looked like being a total wash-out under torrential rain.  However, after a brief phone-call to Janice at 4pm (just 2.5 hours before the doors opened) we had found ourselves an indoor venue for the play.  Church Warden Ann and her wonderful team of helpers set up the stage with the theatre company, and we were ready for curtains up.  The BBQ went ahead at the Mill (with many of our hardy customers happy to sit outside under gazebos in the rain) and then we all trooped up to the Church for a wonderful performance.  A great evening was had by all.  True community spirit is alive and well in Otterton!
