On this day, October 29th 2008, staff at the Mill arrived to face the worst flooding in living memory in Otterton. Every inch of the Mill was under water! In some places up to 3 feet deep in the Mill building.
Initial forecasts by the insurers suggested the Mill would be closed for up to 3 months for drying, cleaning and repairs. A mammoth effort by all the staff and other partners, including Munters cleaning company, Polar Construction and Caterlink meant we were back in business with a temporary shop within a week and fully open within one month!
Needless to say we are delighted this milestone has passed without a hint of rain.
