Front of House Team Leader

We are looking for a person to take on a challenging but rewarding role in our busy and award-winning cafe/restaurant. The Front of House Team Leader will need exceptional people management and customer service skills in order to lead a dedicated and talented team of Front of House assistants who are regularly praised by customers for their friendly and efficient service.

The main responsibilities of this new role are:

• Managing the day-to-day Front of House service to customers and acting as a role model of excellent service to all staff and customers
• Ensuring the restaurant operates at maximum efficiency at all time
• Monitoring the quality of the product and service provided with particular emphasis on customer satisfaction
• Supervision of the till and general cash control
• Maintaining and controlling overall levels of presentation, display, ambience and cleanliness

Candidates for this role will need to have:

• A proven track record in the restaurant/catering industry which is combined with a passion for locally sourced food
• Evidence of financial awareness and the ability to develop a team through training and management
• Suitable degree HNC/HND or relevant experience in Hospitality Management and or Hospitality and Licensed Retail Management
• A personal licence for the sale of alcohol or be able to seek an accredited licensing qualification (and have no reason why a personal licence might be refused)
• An interest in food, art and music
• A full driving licence and independent transport is also desirable, but not essential
  

The salary for this role is negotiable, but will be in the region of £13K to £15K, depending on experience. Benefits include subsidised meals, discounts in the Mill's retail outlets and paid breaks.

Part-time Front of House Staff
We are also looking for weekend waiting staff to join our restaurant's dedicated and talented Front of House Team.  Ideal candidates will have a natural disposition towards excellent customer service and teamwork, while being hard working and flexible.  Experience is desireable not essential, training will be provided.
