Otterton Mill is a lovely place to work, with a great atmosphere and in beautiful surroundings. I work in the Bakery and it is a pleasure to use good quality ingredients and to hand craft the bakery goods. In the run up to Christmas, we have been baking lots of seasonal fayre, including the traditional pudding and cakes, and also Stollen and Figgy Pudding which I have never made before.
We keep our door open and it is nice when visitors come to the Bakery and ask our advice or tell us they enjoyed eating what we have made. As a new member of staff, I have felt welcomed and have learned so much in a short space of time. The main challenge is resisting the temptation to "sample" everything we make!
