Workshop: Bushcraft

Friday 10th July 2009

Wild Wooden Cutlery:  Come and join the slow food movement on Friday 10th July by spending a few hours by the river practising the age-old technique of whittling.  Chris Holland, our local bushcraft expert, will show you how to make a butter knife or spoon from local cherry, sycamore, apple or box wood.

The workshop costs £20 and is suitable for 12 years or over.  To book your place, or for more information, call Chris on 07980 601830.  You can also visit www.wholeland.org.uk for more details.

Chris is regularly at the Mill on Fridays practising his craft.  Do drop by for a chat or to watch him at work.  You'll find Chris in our wildlife conservation area at the end of the car-park, just next to the chicken enclosure.
