Performing on-stage from age 12, Kyla's musical passion was ignited by the Afro-American traditions of her blues-singing father. A career-defining performance at the Colne Blues Festival sealed her status as a first lady of British blues. Her stunning voice turns up the heat by degrees, then lulls and charms, before unleashing raw emotion like the soul greats of old. Playing with songwriting partner Danny Blomely on acoustic guitar.
