Known for his anecdotal songs that take the form of short stories, Eric is widely regarded as one of the finest songwriters to ever come out of Texas, and numbers Steve Earle and Joan Baez among his many fans. Part of the 1970's Houston songwriting scene that included Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark, Eric learnt blues guitar from music legends Lightnin' Hopkins and Mississippi Fred McDowell, before developing his own unique guitar picking style, that has in turn inspired performers such as Nanci Griffith and Lyle Lovett. A mesmerising performer, Eric is not to be missed!
